a small town symphony writing itself
pages turn and ink is spilled
slow days weave melodies
slow soft breezy
and the others
you cant seem to play the keys fast enough
before you get burned
there is no other song i would want to watch write itself
knowing one note alone is only a sound without the others
so i choose to listen
to the symphony
crafted right in front of me
instead of waiting for it to end 📷: @sailing_seawind
i have known you for a very long time
not in tangible hours or minutes or days or years
but i know i have chose you before
and i choose you again
in this lifetime and next and the one after that
i see the world in poems
an intricate weaving of words that paint the pictures i watch unfold in front of me
all in the hopes of making you feel what i see
i hope you see what i feel
30 years ago today you were brought into this world
and i thank my lucky stars everyday that you were
the moment you were born this world got a little better
a little brighter
i swear the earth took a deep breath because it knew the love and kindness you would bring this planet
so very grateful today and everyday our partnership in this lifetime
this is the trip around the sun where your wildest dreams come true
and i am so excited to do it with you
happy birthday ❤
it's like driving through the fog trusting the road will appear
it took 23 trips in a big circle around our sun for me to be right here, right now; to be the most present, the most open, the most daring and free I have ever been

What would happen if we chose kindness?
What would happen if we chose to be kind?
Today, I choose kindness.
For those who are angry and lash out.
For my body.
For the world.
I was scared, but I did it anyway.
Which is kind of my motto.
Scared? Do it.
It's really difficult, yanno?
When your heart is pounding so hard you feel it fall into your stomach and your stomach falls into your butt and you question why the heck you said yes in the first place and if the great white sharks can hear your heart beat through the board.
You're scared? Me too.
Let's do it anyways.
Wake me in a field of sunflowers
I beg you
Drench my soul in the honey colored petals floating around me
Allow the smell of sweet surrender to wrap me in its gentle embrace
You see sunflowers are magic
And so am I
And so are you
Let me play amongst them only to admire their beauty and freedom
Because that's what I aspire to be
How tall they stand
Higher than some houses they say
When I remind you to breathe
And how joyful this life can be
Sunflower fields bloom but only a few weeks in the year
Our reminder that even beautiful things are impermanent
Enjoy them while we can
And love them harder
Filling me with wander
I wander what it would be like to wake up in a field of sunflowers
To drench my soul in the honey colored petals dancing around me 🌻
